In my up-coming Technique Night classes this week, we are talking about how to use our precious Designer Series Paper, (known hereafter in this post as DSP), without wasting it. In order to do that, I wanted to show people how best to cut up a 12" x 12" piece of paper to get a lot of cards that show off the beauty of the DSP. I also want to use the amazing Painted Seasons stamp set as often as I can before Sale-A-Bration is over, because it has the most beautiful images, and the easiest DistINKtive set to stamp that I've found yet.
Here's one of the three samples for the class:
- I used the flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set with Grapefruit Grove ink to create the images. I masked them in order to add the leaves in Gray Granite ink.
- The sentiment is from the Life is Grand stamp set, also a DistINKtive set! I love these large and elegant sentiments!! It's also stamped in Gray Granite.
- The background DSP is from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper in Petal Pink, which coordinates so well with the Grapefruit Grove.
- I used the Grapefruit Grove 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon for an accent across the card and the Faceted Dots to embellish.
Don't wait too much longer to earn your Sale-A-Bration Rewards. March is almost half over and that means Sale-A-Bration is almost at an end. Have you taken full advantage of the benefits open to you? Remember the three key words: SHOP! HOST!! JOIN!!
