My youngest grandchild will be turning 3 years old soon and, like most three year old girls, she is enamoured with Frozen and Elsa and Anna. We got her a Frozen Lego set for her birthday, as she and her brother are very much into playing with Lego right now, but I wanted to see if I could make an Elsa with Punch Art. Again, I searched Pinterest for someone who had already done the deed, so I could easily copy it, as I was pressed for time, but alas, there was nothing there that really looked like Elsa, so I was on my own again. I did find a picture there to work from:
Then I went through my stash of punches to find ones that would work to make the different elements of Elsa's features. Here's how it turned out:
- I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out, especially with her hair and the braid! I will never get rid of the **Fox Builder Punch because that fox tail has helped me create hair so many times and it was instrumental in me being able to make that great braid, by weaving those fox tails together, and trimming one pair down to a narrower size so that the braid tapers. Because Elsa's hair is so platinum blonde I used a combination of Whisper White and Very Vanilla cardstock to create it. The very tip of the braid is one of the 3 leaves on the Leaf Punch.
- Elsa's head shape was closest to and big enough for the **Lemon Builder Punch with the wider bump at the top and the narrower one at the chin. I also trimmed off the "jowls" a bit. Lol!
- The nose is what's punched out when you punch the hole for the Detailed Trio Punch. The mouth is created using two punches with the **Lemon Builder Punch at the "chin end".
- The eyes needed shaping and are time consuming but they are started in Whisper White with the 1/2" punch and shaped exactly alike, one used to trace the other. Her neck is one of the vases from the Vases Builder Punch and her shoulders and upper chest is the Pretty Label Punch, in Powder Pink.
- Her dress is made from Sparkle Glimmer Paper and coloured with Stampin' Blends, Light Pool Party and Light Mint Macaron. The shoulders and front are an arc double punched with the Story Label punch. Her arms attach underneath and are also punched from Sparkle Glimmer Paper with the Word Window Punch - which is another I will never give up, just for this purpose.

- The bodice of the dress is a heart - an old retired punch which I kept because it's so handy, and the bottom is the Story Label punch on end again.
- The greeting is from a retiring stamp set **Vertical Greeting, and I added Pip's name using the Make a Difference stamp set. The 3 is from an old retired die set called ***Little Numbers. (Nope, not letting that one go either!!)
- The final touch is a few Iridescent Sequins around the card and a retired snowflake ornament on the bodice.
- Oops, forgot the eyebrows! They're made from the top of the ***Owl Builder punch, punched twice in a thin slice and cut in half to make 2 eyebrows.
