Peaceful Place with Arctic Bears for Monday Morning Live

 When I saw the *Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper and the *Arctic Bears bundle I saw many possibilities for using them both together and I want to explore that idea with today's card, which is also the subject for my Monday Morning Live on my Playing with Papercrafting Facebook page at 11 am PDT. I did have a lot of fun with the dies, though, and the temptation is to use too many of them on your project. I had to pare back my original die cuts to make sense of the remainder. What I ended up with was a large polar bear adrift on an ice floe just off shore against a blizzardy backdrop formed by the *Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper.

• On a Basic Black card base I added a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the *Peaceful Place Specialty DSP of the design that you see above. The base measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
• I stamped the large polar bear image and ice crag image from the *Arctic Bears stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut both images with dies from the *Polar Bears dies. I trimmed of the Ice crag image at the bottom.
• I die cut the ice floe the water ripples and the icicle border with dies from the *Polar Bears dies, then stamped the sentiment (also from the *Arctic Bears stamp set) with Memento ink and die cut it with the Tasteful Labels dies.
• The ice crag, the ripples and the sentiment were adheres to the card front using either Stampin' Seal or Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
• The icicle border, the ice floe and the bear were attached with Stamping Dimensionals, or, in the case of the bear, a mix of glue dots and dimensionals.
