Friendly Hello for As You See It Challenge #269

friendly hello for aysi #269

Did you know that there are only 4 more days including today left of Sale-A-Bration?!! Only 4 more days to get your hands on all the rewards in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. One of the Level 2 Rewards, (meaning you need to spend $120 to earned it) is Friendly Hello stamp set and Designer Series Paper.

I'm using it here to create my Design Team sample for the As You See It Challenge for today:

challenge #269

It's a Recipe Challenge called Recipe for Thinking of You! All the elements seen here on the challenge banner must be included in your project, but how you do that is up to you.

Here's how I combined them:

  • On the thick Basic White cardstock base, a panel of regular Basic White has been embossed using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.
  • One of the two 4 1/4" x 3" panels that are mounted askew has a 4 1/8" x 2 7/8" panel of the Friendly Hello DSP in a Pool Party shade adhered to it.
  • On the other, the same sized Basic White cardstock was stamped using the Friendly Hello stamp set and coloured using Stampin' Blends markers in pastel shades.
  • The sentiment is from the other Level 2 reward, a sentiment stamp set called Special Moments. The die cut part of the recipe challenge comes from the label which is from the Eden dies.
  • The twine or ribbon is some Linen Thread wrapped around the sentiment and tied in a bow.

I had a hard time deciding which of two cards to use. The other card, seen above, uses the Tulip Dies on the Basic White front panel. Everything else is the same.

  • Die cutting tulip petals from a Pool Party design of the Flowering Fields DSP and from the Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron designs from the Simply Marbleous DSP and stems and leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, three tulips were constructed on the card front.
  • Other than that and the placement of the sentiment, the card design is the same as the previous card.

  1. Hm, this IS a tough call - I love them both! I think your coloring on the birds is pretty amazing, BUT, such gorgeous tulips! Eeek! So glad I don't have to choose, lol...

  2. How pretty they both are! Lovely layout and such pretty colours! I think the embossed background does them both proud. Great cards, the pair of them. :-)

  3. A tough call indeed - two beautiful cards Heather! I played with my tulip dies for the first time this week so for me that card might just have the edge; then again, I do love to colour ... A great job all round I think!

  4. These are both beautiful! I would have a hard time deciding which was my favorite! I do confess that I love the bird one!
