Casing the Catalogue for My Occasions Catalogue Launch

I have my Occasions Catalogue Launch coming up on Saturday and when I do an event like this, I like to have as many samples as I can get together from a variety of suites and stamp sets. With my busy schedule, it's hard to do that when I have to design each one, so I turn to the catalogue and try to turn my house into a physical representation of the suite photos, at least the ones that I ordered. It is much faster to churn out the samples when you have the photos right there and as a demonstrator, I also have a list of the supplies that go into making each of them. (Just one more reason to buy that starter kit during Sale-A-Bration and have access to all those wonderful resources!!) So today, I just wanted to share with you what I've been busy doing this week, and even if you can't be with us on Saturday afternoon, you can still see the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Brochure brought to life!

These two lovely cards are from the All My Love Suite, using the Forever Lovely Bundle, and the All My Love Designer Series Paper. This suite is perfect for Valentines, weddings, anniversaries, or just a beautiful card for a friend. So versatile!

The next two are from Floral Romance, one of my favourite suites in the whole catalogue! They feature the Wonderful Romance stamp set and Wonderful Floral Framelits, which of course are bundled so you can save 10%. The Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper is gorgeous, with a mix of foliage, patterned and vellum paper, all in pastels with a splash of Fresh Fig. And those Floral Romance Seals are so cool! And the card on the right uses the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder! So gorgeous that the photo in the catalogue doesn't even begin to do it justice!!

The next suite represented here is the How Sweet It Is Suite! This bright and sassy group of products are perfect for a candy bar! Here I've made good use of the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper for a birthday card which is actually my own design you can find out more about here and a "sweet" little shaker card that was super fun to make using all the candy dies from the Jar of Sweets Framelit Dies! The Sweetest Thing Photopolymer Stamp Set coordinates and bundles with them. The Sweet Cups on the right are really quite a good size and can be stamped on or covered with DSP although that's a bit tricky. I had to sacrifice one cup. It gave up it's life to make a pattern I could trace on the Designer Paper. And then there's the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green Reversible Ribbon that is so shiny and beautiful!

There weren't many samples from the Gingham Gala Suite that I really liked, so I checked out the page in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure using the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and Google for some designs. The one on the left I pretty much thoroughly cased from a sample by Craft-somnia Momma (a name I can relate to!) It's such a beautiful card though and uses the paper and the Butterfly Gala Bundle. The one on the right requires no stamping, just fussy cutting from the DSP and die cutting the sentiment.

I love the raw masculine feel of the Classic Garage Suite. The card at the back left you may recognize as one of my own steampunk designs. You can find out more about it here. The other two are designs from the Occasions Catalogue. the one at the back right was a box but I turned it into a card. The motorcycle is fussy cut right from the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper, which also is used for the background paper and the banner across the middle. The front card features self-stamped DSP in the background using an image from Geared Up Garage stamp set. I love the car-logo like sentiment die cut/embossed in a Silver Foil Sheet using the Garage Gears Thinlits. And any opportunity to use those adorable Classic Garage Metal Elements. (I'm not sure my hubby would appreciate the masculine qualities of anything I termed "adorable"!)

That's pretty much it. I may get a couple more done tomorrow, but I think that's a good representation along with some I've already made!

Two of the punches from the Occasions Catalog are going to be placed in a "not-orderable" status soon! The Butterfly Duet Punch will be available to order through 10:00 AM MT tomorrow and the Cake Builder Punch will be moving to not-orderable within the next two weeks. Both punches should be back in stock and available to order in mid-March.

What's New at SU Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

I'm so pleased that you are joining us for our hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Exciting Ideas to share with you. Today we will feature products from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Brochure and other current catalogues, including the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue,  giving you a bundle of products that will be enough to help you earn a Sale-A-Bration reward. I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today!

The product that I'm sharing with you is a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration Reward called Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets. They come in a pack of 8 sheets, 4 each of the 2 colours. The Lovely Lipstick foil is a beautiful colour, but the Grapefruit Grove!! When the light hits it, it goes all holographic and every colour in the rainbow shines off of it! So cool! I decided to team it up with the  Beauty Abounds Bundle, which will give you enough to earn a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration Reward like this lovely foil paper. Here is my sample:

What I did was to use the Grapefruit Grove Foil as one of two layered die cuts from the Butterfly Beauty Thinlit Dies, part of the Beauty Abounds Bundle on page 13 of the Occasions Catalogue. Here's a closer look:

• The Whisper White panel has been stamped with three different background elements from the Beauty Abounds Cling stamp set, using Grapefruit Grove, Petal Pink and Gray Granite ink.
• The other layer of the die cuts is cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock backed with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets so that I just had to remove the backing and stick it to the foil layer like a sticker. I wanted to do that because I didn't want glue ruining the holographic effect of the foil.
• It was easy adding Liquid Multipurpose Glue to the back of the foil layer to adhere it to the card front. There were lots of wide areas to apply the glue.
• The sentiment is a two-parter from Beauty Abounds stamp set, die cut with Stitched Shapes framelits and backed with a scalloped square in Grapefruit Grove foil die cut with Layering Squares Framelits. The other half of the sentiment is in inside of the card:

• The insert is also die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
• The Lovely Lipstick foil is a gorgeous colour, but more like regular foil, not holographic. Here is what it looks like with a Basic Black second layer.
