Birthday Delivery for As You See It Challenges

This is a bit of a tough couple of weeks for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators! First there is the disappearing inventory, as retiring products really start to disappear and we have to keep our eye on the discontinued list to keep ahead of what is still available. Then we have to weed out all our retired products, but that leaves us with only a little to work with until our own order of new products come in! I'm always short of Designer Series Paper and ribbon and embellishments at this time of year because all of last year's DSP retires and I'm left with only what I could get in the pre-order, which is limited! It makes you creative though! Oh, well, only a week to go before my new stuff arrives!!

It's time for another As You See It Challenge and this time around it's a sketch challenge. It's obviously a sketch I loved because I came up with no less than 3 different designs for it. It was hard to decide which would be the official Design Team sample but with a little advice from the rest of the team, I decided to go with the fox design from the Birthday Delivery stamp set!

Here is Amanda's sketch:

and here are the other two cards I came up with:

I didn't care as much for the flowery one that uses Birthday Blossoms, a stamp set that's a couple of years old already, but I really liked the wood grains and textures from the card that uses the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and the High Tide stamp set, but I think that the fox card just has more pop to it, so I'm using that one!

  • This card has Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper in the background and a Daffodil Delight banner, made the same way as the one above. I added some retired Pool Party ribbon to dress it up though.
  • I stamped the sentiment first so I could fit the images around it. I stamped the full blossom first, then stamped another on a post it note and punched it out with the Pansy Punch to use as a mask before I stamped the other blossom and the leaves. They are stamped in Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive. A little splatter is added with the stamp from Timeless Textures.
There is a new promotion for the month of June. Host a Stampin' Up! party of some kind and you could win an extra $40 in Stampin' Rewards for qualifying orders. You can do a regular stamping party where you invite friends to your house and we can do some creative projects together and you will earn benefits when they order, or we could do a catalogue party, where you distribute catalogues to your friends and they submit orders, or we could do a Facebook Party, where you invite your friends to join me online on Facebook for a couple of hours for some fun interaction, games and information, with ordering incentives and you will get the rewards from all the orders placed that night. Call me to book a time in June now!  Here's how the benefits are calculated:

Six Mojo Sayings

I think you might have guessed that I love this stamp set! I've used it several times already. It's just so...I don't know...folksy, I guess. It reminds me of a cozy winter sweater or something. It's from a set called Six Sayings and I used it to enter the Mojo Monday Challenge this week, which featured a tag on the front.

I was wanting a cool, monochromatic colour scheme for this project, so I chose Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Silver.
Lost Lagoon        Mint Macaron          Pool Party                Silver

  • I layered the cardstock with some Whisper White and some Designer Series Paper from the Home for Christmas Collection as well as some Silver Glimmer Paper.
  • I inked up the stamp using Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron and Pool Party Stampin' Write Markers. The Lost Lagoon and the Mint Macaron markers you have to purchase as part of the In Colour collections, but the Pool Party is available separately.  The stamp itself is from a Host Set called Six Sayings found in the 2015 Holiday Catalogue. To get this set, you must earn it as part of the Stampin' Rewards program. More about that later.
  • I used the Banner Triple Punch to punch the flag end in both the Whisper White tag and its Lost Lagoon backing. I then used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch to top both panels off with the tag shape and hole.
  • I love the Silver and Gold Cording Trim that is the tie at the top of the tag. I love the way the cord curls so elegantly (sometimes with a little help from some glue or glue dots). After tying the cord in the tag, I also added a couple of Winter Wonderland Embellishments. Seems like they were just made for this project! The tag itself is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
So if you are wanting to earn some free Stampin' Up! products, you could spend $200 on your own, but instead, why not host a private class. It could be a party with some of your friends, where the activity is making some Christmas Cards, or some Christmas decor items! If you don't want to clean and bake, have it at my house! When your friends order products that they will love, you will earn Host Rewards, and if you have it between October 9 and November 9, and have a total of $400 or more (which isn't hard to do), Stampin' Up! will sweeten the pot! They will add 3% more to your rewards, so instead of earning 12% , you'll be earning 15% of your class total in free Stampin' Up! products of your choice, like the Six Sayings set!  Contact me today and we'll set a date for your party!
