Share Sunshine PDF with the Retiring Artfully Aware

Last week, I purchased the new Stampin' Up! Covid 19 Fundraising PDF Download called Share Sunshine. It contains both black and white and colour images and sentiments geared to the global pandemic situation. You can print them on cardstock and use them on your card fronts and the colours coordinate with regular Stampin' Up! colours.

When you click on this link, it takes you to a page where you can download the 15 page PDF for $12 USD. Your credit card will make the change to your currency automatically. For me, the images and sentiments printed easily and the colours that came off my printer were a perfect match for the Stampin' Up! colours, but that would depend upon your particular computer and printer settings and accuracy. They are all really clever and cute.

The question is, can I roll out and send enough cards to use them all? This download will definitely motivate me!

Here's my first sample:

  • I paired these two sentiments up with some retiring products from the Annual Catalogue namely: Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper, Artfully Aware Cling Stamp Set (which is 25% off), and the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon (which is also 25% off). These are still available while supplies last.
  • I stamped the image from Artfully Aware on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured it in with coordinating Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Combo Markers and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Combo Markers. For the hair I used the Soft Saffron Combo and Soft Suede Combo. I used a little Light Smoky Slate to add some shadow around the image. The skin tone is made using the Ivory Blends Marker.
  • The Stitched Shapes Dies die cut the image while the Hearts Punch Combo was used to punch out the heart-shaped sentiment and the Classic Label Punch for the second sentiment.
  • I added a little Lace trim under the Burlap Ribbon.
There are a lot of sentiments that would pair well with the Artfully Aware images, so it's one that you might get a lot of use out of along with this Download over the next year or so! Remember, Retiring Products are only available while supplies last.

Quick and Easy Merry Woodland Moose Card

This card was easy to make, cute to look at, but really hard to photograph so that you can see the details. The basis of it is a Whisper White panel dry embossed with the Woodlands Embossing Folder and embellished with the ornament from the *Merry Moose stamp set.

*New Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, not available for sale until Sept. 4, 2019.

Let's try a closer look with lower light to enhance the shadows:

  • You can now see the birch trees embossed in the white cardstock more clearly which gives a bit of a snowy effect.
  • The ornament from the *Merry Moose stamp set is just the right size to stamp in some of the flat areas hanging from some of the branches. I did 3 of them in Real Red ink, as the the Rule of Threes states that our eyes find 3 of something more attractive to look at.
  • The sentiment is also from *Merry Moose and it just fits inside the Classic Label Punch. I mounted it on the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • I originally stamped the raccoon from the *Merry Moose set, with a jaunty red knit cap on his head and coloured him in with Stampin' Blends, but he just spoiled the white and red look of the card, so I didn't adhere him to it.
*New Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, not available for sale until Sept. 4, 2019.

Cookie Cutter Christmas for The Paper Players

It was a productive day, as I got all my out of town gifts packed and mailed away and that feels really good! A burden lifted. I have a Mom & Me class on Saturday that I need to do some special baking for, as I have several kids attending with their parents. While I don't plan on making gingerbread, I wanted to share a card made with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. It fits perfectly with the theme challenge over at The Paper Players this week:

And I thought that the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches would work really well with the baking pan idea. Here's the banner for that challenge:

Here's what my design looked like:

Are you hungry yet? What kind of Christmas baking do you do? I don't do a lot as we always go away for Christmas and this year, we're going to stay with the daughter whose family all need gluten free recipes, so I might have to look up some new recipes.

Have a great weekend! Don't forget that you can still reserve a Stamparatus if you haven't yet done so. Just go to my On-Line Store and click on Stamparatus and follow the prompts.

And the Year End Sale still continues. Many of the products in the Holiday Catalogue are retiring, so after Jan. 2, you won't be able to order them any more. Check it over to make sure there's nothing that you can't live without!
