This will be a very quick post, as time has run away with me again! But I wanted to show you the beautiful new stamp set that is available to you starting today on a limited time offer for the month of August while supplies last! It's called Blended Seasons Stamp Set and it's quite possibly one of the most versatile sets I've seen in a long time. Bundle it with the Stitched Seasons Framelits and you have an unbeatable combination! And if you add a new addition to our Watercolour Pencils, with some of the new Revamp Colours, you've got enough to keep you going for quite some time!

Mine just arrived yesterday and here's the first thing I did with it:

Healing Hugs & Petal Promenade in an Envelope Pocket Card

One important job I had this past weekend was crafting a thank you card for someone, so that a whole group could sign it to show their appreciation. When you make a card like that you need a lot of room for people to not only sign, but to express their gratitude! Luckily, I learned earlier this year how to make an envelope pocket card (here) so I knew how to create something that would work perfectly with a few decor changes.

Having just received the Healing Hugs Stamp Set and the Thank You Thinlits, I decided it was the perfect moment to use them for the first time as well! Here's what ensued:

  • The Healing Hugs stamp set features two images using the DistINKtive technology that creates super realistic images due to the different opacity of the ink on the stamp surface. There is some technique involved though. You need the right amount of ink on the stamp for the optimal results. It requires some trial and error at first to get it just right. Here I used Petal Pink and Blushing Bride to ink up two roses and then fussy cut them, since there are no coordinating dies, but the shapes are simple to cut.
  • I also used Mossy Meadow and Tranquil Tide for the DistINKtive leaves, and fussy cut them as well. Also very easy shapes.
  • The sentiment is, of course, die cut using the new Thank You Thinlets.
  • The background designer paper is from Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, which is also the series the paper on the back of the card is from. Now take a look at what is inside:

Two medium Whisper White Envelopes stuck together by the flap of the one on the left and then glue into the card by the back of the envelope on the right allows you to have 3 writing surfaces, plus two more with the cards inside the pockets created by the envelopes!

  • Some retired Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon spans both sides of the card and extends beyond to be tied in a bow to keep the card closed. The paper panels are partly there to cover it. On the card back I have another design from Petal Promenade DSP backed by Blushing Bride.

And speaking of Petal Promenade, it is one of 10 packages that are available with this promotion by Stampin' Up! Buy 3 packages on one order and get 1 package for free. Team up with a crafty friend and order together to take advantage of this offer!
