I wasn't completely sold on the Christmas Quilt Suite when I saw it in the Holiday Catalogue. Too many little pieces to put together, I thought. Having seen several projects using this suite of products, and realizing how many of my customers love quilting, I did purchase this set. I still have some difficulty with that concept of little pieces to put together, but I was able to use the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack and the Quilt Builder Framelit Dies to create some quick and easy rustic looking thank you notes, which would come in handy after Christmas for thank you notes for gifts received!!
- I used the Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes as the bases. They're just the right size, at 3 1/2" x 5". I cut a panel of the DSP at 3" x 4 1/2", added a doily and a die cut from the Quilt Builder Framelits in a coordinating colour. With a Pearl Basic Jewel as an accent, the card is complete! How easy and how cute!! I love the Gingham design as a backdrop here.
- All the designs of the DSP have different stitching patterns based on ones you would really find in quilts. Here I used a different colour for the framelit and a different doily design for the same effect.
- The sentiment is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, and is easily punched out by the Classic Label Punch.
- The doily is an old design from a past catalogue, unavailable now.
