Design 101 Projects

I'm so excited to share with you the results of my first ever Design 101 Class.  It wasn't a big class and that turned out to be a good thing because it gave me more one-on-one time with each class member.  But the results were very satisfying for both myself and the participants.

I thought I would share the results, with their permission, on my blog.  I hope you will comment and give each person the warm encouragement they deserve!

This first class of the series was focused on colour palettes and what inspires colour choices.  The first project was to CASE a card, but to choose a new colour palette and/or stamp set/embellishments.  The card we CASEd was this one that I found on Pinterest, created by Tammy Downy:
Here's what they came up with:

Emily Price

The second project involved using one set of DSP as the inspiration for a colour palette, and we used Afternoon Picnic Design Series Paper.  They had a sketch to work from:

Finally, we let a stamp set choice power our colour decisions and I gave them Truly Grateful from the Holiday Mini to work with, and 3 sketches to choose from:

This was the one for which I was most proud of them.  They were both very innovative and took some risks and tried something new!  Please let them know what you think.  I know they'll be anxious to see your kind comments.

If you would like to join us on our next Design 101 Class, check out the information here.  Give me a call or an email.
