Jungle Pals for New at SU

 2023 hop banner

Welcome to our January NEW AT SU! Blog Hop! We love to share creative ideas from Stampin' Up! with you. Today we have projects featuring the Sale-A-Bration Rewards for you to see. I'm using the Jungle Pals stamp set and the Jungle Pals Dies to make my sample. They are found on pages 12 & 13 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. The Jungle Pals stamp set is a Level One reward, while the coordinating Jungle Pals Dies are a Level Two reward, meaning you have to spend twice as much to earn them as for a Level One reward.

But, if you are ordering anyway, it's well worth it to get both rewards, because you can easily create scenes like the one I created above with a kind of diorama effect. I made a previous card in the same way for this blog post and it has all the instructions for how to make the accordion folds to create the 3D effect so I won't repeat them here.

  • The card base is Garden Green cardstock. It is 10 1/2" by 4 1/4" and scored on the long side at either end at 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2" and 2 1/2". The front window is created using the second largest Deckled Rectangle Die centered between the last fold lines on each end.
  • The back of the card is a piece of Garden Green cardstock 5 3/8" x 4 1/4". On it is glued an identical sized piece of Meandering Meadows DSP in the design shown.
  • The connecting bands of cardstock are Mossy Meadows for the back bands and Garden Green for the front bands, 1/2" x 5 3/8" for the top and 1" x 5 3/8" for the bottoms. (see directions at link above)
  • I die cut all the canopy of leaves, vines and separate leaves from different shades of green, including Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. I used the canopies along the tops and attached the vines from the sides to the top. I used some canopy and some individual leaves to the bottom edges for undergrowth. The tree trunk was die cut from Pecan Pie and glued behind the second last accordion fold. I added extra width to the tree trunk to do this.
  • I stamped all the animals from the stamp set in Memento ink and coloured them in using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in appropriate colours. Then they were die cut with the coordinating dies from the Jungle Pals Die set. They were added to the diorama as shown.
  • The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration set Heartfelt Hellos, and it was die cut with the Everyday Details Dies.

  7. Thanks, Rochelle! Once I stamped and coloured and die cut all those adorable animals, I couldn't choose which ones to include, so I had to use them all! Even if it was a titch crowded in there!
