Sweet Treats for The Paper Players

I needed some Thank You mini 3" x 3" cards and I decided to create some for The Paper Players Challenge #181 with the theme of Sweet Treats.  Anne Marie's challenge was to include food or sweet treats in our projects.

Here are my mini-cards, which could be Valentines with a change in sentiment.

  • I had a lot of fun with these quick projects.  The cupcake is straight forward and just involves using the Cupcake Builder punch, which I haven't used in an age!  I tried to pick colours that would compliment the Kaleidoscope Design Series Paper that you see in the background.  The bottom of the cupcake is Crushed Curry and the icing is Chocolate Chip with Strawberry Slush sprinkles and a cherry.
  • The card base is Bermuda Bay, and I used one of the sentiments from Happy Watercolour inked up in Strawberry Slush.
  • The other card has a lollipop that I made out of the coloured twine in the Sweet Sorbet Accessories Pack from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  I punched/cut out a one inch circle from a Jumbo Sticky Round and adhered it to the card over the lollipop stick made, again, from the wand in the Dress Up Stamp set.  I held the ends of the Pool Party and the Crisp Cantaloupe string together and wound them in a spiral on the Sticky Round, which help them in place.  I finished by trimming any fraying ends and gluing them under the strings.
  • Here's hoping my customers will enjoy getting these thank yous.  Maybe I should add a little "Sweet Treat" to each of their bags!
Thanks for dropping by today.  See you tomorrow with a new As You See It Challenge design!
