I've double booked myself. I promised myself I would never put myself in that position again, but I've done it. It was because of the Canada Day holiday falling on my regular technique night and having to switch the classes to the next week instead! This created a time crunch with an already scheduled class, so there will be one class in the morning out of town and one in the evening and the following evening as well, both in town! So I decided to do the same projects for all three, to keep things manageable. This is one of them. The theme is Butterflies and so I threw in a dragonfly, of course, from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set. The combination of Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder gives the card a real Asian ambiance, don't you think? It just so happens that this card also fits the criteria for The Paper Players' Challenge this week:
Here it is:
- I love the script from the 2015-17 In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack. It makes the perfect backdrop for the image panel.
- I stamped the images from Awesomely Artistic in Versamark on the Whisper White panel and covered them with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set them with the Heat Tool. (Don't forget to use your Embossing Buddy to keep the embossing powder only on the image, where you want it!) Then I sponged Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe ink over the embossed images so they would show up well. I wiped the ink off the embossing and the images are crisp and clean!
- I used my new Washi Label Punch for the Tip Top Taupe background for the sentiment, from the And Many More Stamp Set, which is also embossed in white. It's a great up-dated replacement for the Modern Label Punch.
And another Tuesday rolls around again with it's new:
