I wanted to share with you one of the cards we made at our Team Meeting Monday night! A good friend and fellow SU demonstrator, (in fact, one of my roomies at Convention this year), Terry Hamilton prepared this design for our Make and Takes, and it's so stinkin' cute that I had to feature it today! Terry doesn't have a blog (yet!) so I thought everyone needs to see this!
Terry was inspired by a design she saw on Glenda Calkin's blog, but used From Land to Sea images rather than Guy Greetings. I think the chevron faux patina design goes really well with the sea turtle, because it totally looks like waves.
This would be a cute design to use at a Quick and Cute class! That little sea turtle is so cute he needs a name! Any ideas?
We embossed the Lost Lagoon panel with the Chevron Embossing Folder and sponged it with Night of Navy and Pool Party. Then we inked up the splatter image from Gorgeous Grunge in Versamark and stamped it about 3 times on the chevrons and covered it in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Be sure you dry your ink thoroughly and use the Embossing Buddy first! We heat set it with the Heat Tool to get this great design. I love how the gold embossing mirrors one of the mattes for the image panel, don't you?
Thanks for popping back to visit today and if you could leave some love for Terry in the comment section, it might encourage her to start her own blog!

That is a very cute turtle and a very cute card. I like the cool effect you accomplished on the water panel. I think you should call him Sammy or Stumpy. We had a turtle that was named Stumpy because he had a short stump of a tail.
