Quick post today, as I am still preparing for a mini-retreat weekend at my own house - in my Craft Cave - which necessitates a major clean up! (Yes, I am a messy crafter!) We had been planning to go away for a weekend long crafting retreat, but that fell through when not enough people signed up, so four of us decided to to it anyway at my house. So I'm trying to have it at least presentable for four people to spend a long day and a half in!
But one thing I still needed to do was my Design Team Sample for As You See It Challenges #130! Here's the sketch from Amanda:
When I saw that Polaroid frame, I thought of a framelit set we used to have, which has since retired. Then I contemplated making my own with my Squares Collection Framelits, when my Hello Life project suddenly caught my eye, and there it was: a perfectly sized photo frame! And not only that, but I took my colour scheme from that kit as well: Basic Gray, Basic Black and Crushed Curry along with Whisper White. Here's how it looks:
- I've really been enjoying going back to grunge lately. Here the background was a combo of Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Gray and Crushed Curry ink. Sooo much fun to do!
- I punched out a couple of hearts using the Sweetheart punch and layered them within the frame. I embossed the sentiment, from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set, in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and punched it out with the Washi Label Punch. It's mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals.
And that's all, folks! Have a great weekend!
