Some quick but very cute Valentines to show you today, using the most fabulous Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalogue, the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper! You don't need to do much when you use this DSP! It's so bold and shiny and artistic, that it really carries the show! Just add some embellishment and a sentiment and you are pretty much done !
I was using this particular design for my Stamp Club class and because it has vertically graduated colour, and I wanted to use the whole sheet of paper, I created two cards. One palette was for the bottom of the paper and the other for the top. Take a closer look:
- The one on the left uses the top of the Painted With Love Specialty DSP and is backed with Rich Razzleberry cardstock, which is echoed in the backing for the sentiment heart. There are a couple of hearts die cut from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits (which die cut all the hearts for these cards) and one from Calypso Coral. A little swag of Gold Mini-Sequin Trim tied with a bit of the Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration reward, Shimmer Ribbon Pack, adds a sweet bit of embellishment.
- The one on the right is similar except it's the bottom of the DSP and mounted on Calypso Coral for a card base and the sentiment heart is also backed with it. It has the Gold Glimmer hearts and an extra from Rich Razzleberry. The Gold Mini-Sequin Trim is tied with Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon.
- The sentiments are from the Petal Palette Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue, stamped in Rich Razzleberry.
Simple but effective - the joy of bold, artistic DSP!
One of my favourite suites from the Occasions Catalogue!
