Monday Post #1

This Monday morning you are getting a very short post with a card sample to tide you over until I can give you the real scoop! This past weekend, I attended OnStage Local in Red Deer, Alberta, and aside from FREEZING weather and snow, I had a blast! I attended my first CenterStage event, which is just for demonstrators that have the title Silver Elite and above, on Friday night and I felt really honoured to be there! On Saturday, all day was the OnStage event and we were given the new 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue and many free products from it, none of which I can show you until 12:00 noon Pacific Time! So in the meantime, enjoy my 'thinking of you' card, which I made for a friend who had a serious health scare that will really be impacting her life from now on and making things more difficult for her. I wanted to give her a bit of hope for her future and the Hold on to Hope stamp set, along with the image from the Floral Phrases stamp set should help! Take a closer look:

  • I just love Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig together, along with Very Vanilla. They are both such rich, saturated colours, but look balanced when the lighter Very Vanilla is added as a contrast.
  • The Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack has both Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide designs, but I chose the latter for the background. That busy print needs a fairly simple design, so I chose to work with my image and my sentiments in neatly arranged rectangles backed in Fresh Fig or Tranquil Tide cardstock.
  • The image is from Floral Phrases, while the two sentiments are from Hold on to Hope. The Fresh Fig 1/8" Sheer Ribbon creates just the right sized bow for the card front.
Here's a last look, and then join me at noon today for some reveals from the new catalogue! Enjoy!
