Remarkable You for The Paper Players

How fast time passes these days! 10 years seems like the blink of an eye! I can remember that the first 10 years of our marriage seemed to pass so slowly, they were so packed with major events, including the purchase of two houses and the birth of three children. But when I watch my own daughters in their marriages, the time has flown by. This coming Friday is my youngest daughter's tenth anniversary and I wanted to create a beautiful card to commemorate the occasion.

This is Jaimie and Pat saying their vows on a lovely spring day!

Showcasing some retiring products, I used the Remarkable You stamp set and the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper. I also used the Milestone Moments stamp set, which is a handy little set, that I just might keep!

The layout comes from the latest sketch challenge from The Paper Players:

Have a look at the elements of my card:

• I used the beautiful Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper for both the background and the horizontal element of the sketch. And as of the writing of this post, it was still in stock and not in low supply.
• The bottom of the background panel was bordered with some Silver Foil Sheet punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.
• The sentiment, from the retiring Milestone Moments, is embossed on the DSP with Black Stampin' Embossing Powder which is making a comeback in the new Annual Catalogue.
• I also used Black Stampin' Emboss Powder to emboss the bold image of the flower from Remarkable You on the Whisper White Circle. I coloured it in with Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. I thought that there would not be a problem with the alcohol markers and embossing, but there was a definite reaction and chemical odour, so I kept the alcohol ink from touching the embossed lines as well as I could. 
• The retiring Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes from the Occasions Catalogue add a finishing touch along with some spritzing with the old original Stampin' Up! Spritzer tool and the Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.
