Still designing cards for my Christmas Card Buffet class on Saturday and wanted to experiment with Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set! I decided I needed a Santa card, but I wanted to use the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint for Santa's beard and trim! I also wanted to go for the darker Cherry Cobbler palette, which made me grab the new Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is so rich looking. This particular pattern is perfectly suited for the job.
- As you can perhaps see, I stamped Santa in Versamark and embossed him in Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, then coloured him in using Stampin' Blends. I used the Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combos, as well as the Mango Melody Light, the Ivory and the Colour Lifter.
- After it was coloured in and dry, I added "thin lines" of Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to his hat, eyebrows, mustache, beard, and coat and hat trims, then used the Heat Tool to set them until they puffed out. I put "thin lines" in quotations, because my bottle makes it really hard to dispense thin lines. But if I get too much out, I use a tissue to soak up the extra.
- The sentiment is also from Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set and I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to make banners for the sentiment and it's Gold Foil backing by cutting off the back end of the shape. The gold foil piece is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals!

Just wanted to update you on the story of my toothache! Monday, my dentist sent me to the endodontist to explore why a tooth that had already had a root canal, now had infection at the roots. Already really in pain now, I spent 1 1/4 hours in the endodontist's chair, only to find out that the tooth was cracked and had to be extracted, which he couldn't do because he was an... endodontist! Of course! And my own dentist's office was now closed, so I spend the night in pretty much agony. If childbirth was a 10, this pain was a 9! Pain killers were useless and I couldn't sleep a wink! I was at my dentist's office before it even opened and they told me he couldn't extract the tooth, I had to have an appointment at an Oral Surgeon. I think at that point I actually started to cry. They took pity on me, and my dentist froze my mouth which stopped the pain long enough for me to get into see the oral surgeon.
Now I have a gaping hole where that molar used to be, but hardly any pain for which I am extremely grateful and I am looking forward to a decent night's sleep! So ends the saga - touch wood!
