Music From the Heart to Ease Your Worries

I have a family that loves music. I've always loved to sing around the house as I work. As I cut paper for my classes, I have my tunes playing and I sing along (if I'm not counting supplies), my daughters play guitar and sing, my youngest is involved in musical theatre and will be playing the role of Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors in the fall if this lock down comes to an end before then. (Fingers crossed!) My son-in-law is a jazz musician and another son-in-law loves to sing and play guitar. SOOO... all this to say.. the Music From the Heart stamp set was one that I could really use for my family. But it was one of the last ones I picked up from the Mini Catalogue.

I hope you're doing okay now that the lockdown has been just over a month, but I know that the novelty is starting to wear thin for many and the hardship is really beginning to press in! Small businesses are closing for good, parents are slowly going out of their minds trying to look after kids, teach them, substitute for extra curricular activities kids are missing, all the while trying to work from home and do all the regular chores!

My card this Friday suggests that sometimes you just need to "forget your Trebles" and sing your heart out!

  • I was going for a slightly avant-garde asymmetrical look to compliment the design of the images in the Music From the Heart stamp set here. The cutaway border is angled, the treble clef is set leaning a little to the left, and the music notes dance on the page.
  • I used a palette of Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red to highlight piano keys and hearts, to express love and music.
  • I used a small strip of striped paper from the Golden Honey DSP. I'm just using up some spare Sale-A-Bration reward DSP that I had left over, but you can't buy it now.
  • I coloured in the hearts on the images using the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Marker.
  • The hardest part was creating the cutaway border with the keyboard stamp. That takes some practice to get right.
Bundles are Back in Stock!!
Several popular bundles have been out of stock and unorderable for weeks now, due to the corona virus, but GREAT NEWS! They are back in stock and you can order them now! But best do it soon, because they are well-loved and you don't want to miss out again! I don't know if there'll be another restock before the end of the catalogue. Shop at my Online Store or message me if you want to get in on it!
