While I wait for my order to arrive with the products from the new Annual Catalogue that weren't available with the pre-order, I have to get creative with what I have. As amazing as the Forever Greenery Suite is in greens and golds, I started to think outside the box a little today and I thought it would look fabulous to do the foliage in whites, pinks and gold. I got out all the pink ink that I have access to right now, except for Melon Mambo, as I wanted to keep the look more on the pastel side. I stamped a lot of the foliage images in these colours and created an arrangement on one of the Forever Gold Laser Cut Labels. Here's how it turned out:
- The thick Whisper White cardstock formed the card base and the background was one of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper designs with the a plaster-like appearance, also in white.
- The sentiment, from Forever Fern stamp set, was stamped in Rococo Rose and die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies, but needed to be altered by making the rectangle narrower after the first die cut, by die cutting again with the same die, just moving it down the rectangle again.
- Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose inks were used to stamp the different leaf images and they were die cut with the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies, along with some foliage in vellum, Whisper White cardstock and Rococo Rose cardstock.
- Glue dots were used to arrange and mount all these pieces on the Forever Gold Laser Cut Foil Paper Label as shown. Dimensionals were used to mount this on the card front.
