Forever Fern Wedding for The Paper Players

forever fern wedding for the paper players

For sheer elegance, I don't think you can beat the Forever Fern Bundle with the Forever Gold Laser Cut paper for elegance and formal greetings and this works especially well for wedding and anniversary cards. The Paper Players have a Theme Challenge this week, and the theme is Weddings/Anniversaries, and I finally have an opportunity to enter! It seems like such a long time ago since I had a chance to play. Here's the Challenge Banner:

I also thought I'd play along with Freshly Made Sketches' layout and their stripes theme, although mine are pretty subtle:

Finally here's my card:

  • I used the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the background. I love the Petal Pink/Gray Granite/Basic Gray palette, though I stuck to Petal Pink, Gray Granite, Gold and Whisper White with my card today.
  • The Gray Granite strip of DSP has a definite stripe to it if you look carefully enough, but it is subtle, kind of like the pinstripe in the groom's suit!
  • I used one of the laser cut gold labels from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper as well as another laser cut gold piece as well.
  • I stamped a couple of images using the Forever Fern stamp set and Petal Pink ink then die cut them using the Forever Flourishing dies.
  • The two rings on the card, are from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack in the Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue. They are just looped over on themselves and fastened with a glue dot twice, then attached to the card front the same way. The foliage is attached the same way.
  • The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set and is great for weddings and anniversaries! I stamped it in Gray Granite ink and then used the Paper Trimmer to cut along the bottom and paper snips to fussy cut the opposite side. It's mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals.
If you NEED to have this stamp bundle, like I NEEDED it, then you can order it at my Online Store or message me and I can place the order for you.

Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you so much, Ann! I discovered that this set looks great in Petal Pink and gold as well as greens and gold a while back and I always revert to that when I want something formal or elegant.
