Always in My Heart for Freshly Made Sketches

 

Though Valentine's Day will be here and gone after this weekend, it doesn't mean we have to stop using the beautiful Love You Always Suite! The coming spring and summer will be full of anniversaries that you will want to make cards for and these designs are perfect for anniversaries as well. For this card, I used the Always in My Heart stamp set and the True Love Designer Series Paper from the suite to create a bit of a rustic Anniversary card. I'm using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

I also used a theme challenge from The Paper Players called Hearts or Stars:

As you can see, I use the Heart Charms from the Love You Always Suite to satisfy that requirement. *Oops! Woke up too late with a migraine and missed that one!

Here's my card:

• On a Gray Granite base, I added some wood grain DSP from the In Good Taste series in the Annual Catalogue.
• To make the horizontal bars from the FMS sketch, I used small scraps from the Peony Garden DSP series from the  Annual Catalogue in shades of Whisper White, Gray Granite and Petal Pink.
• The sentiment, stamped in Petal Pink ink is from the Always in My Heart stamp set. I had to straighten the curved stamp to get a straight sentiment, but luckily that's not hard to do with photopolymer stamps.
• I fussy cut a couple of flowers from the True Love DSP and coloured them using Petal Pink and Gray Granite Stampin' blends combos, with some Ivory Stampin' blends for the center.
• I added some ribbons to one of the Heart Charms and used glue dots to mount the two Heart Charms.
