Magnolia Mood with Comforting Thoughts

mm with ct 1

A close friend has been struggling with some very painful health issues lately, and I wanted to make a card for her to give her some encouragement and let her know that I was thinking of her. And in case some of these products don't look familiar, they are the new product offering from our Online Exclusives that were available starting March 5! There are some very amazing sets that you have to see to believe and these are just two of them.

First is Magnolia Mood with some beautiful floral images and 3 nice sentiments, as well as coordinating dies and some embossing dies that work on their own. Next I used a sentiment set with some very unique sentiments, called Comforting Thoughts, which will come in very handy, I suspect.

See later on in my post for more of the new products. Meanwhile here is my card:

  • On a card base of thick Very Vanilla cardstock I added a panel of Nature's Sweetness DSP. Over that, in the lower half, I added two 4 1/4" strips of Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim, another one of the new Online Exclusive products. Over these, using dimensionals, I added a deckled circle of the  Nature's Sweetness DSP in another pattern.
  • On regular Very Vanilla, I stamped the large magnolia image and the magnolia bud image in Pebbled Path ink and die cut them with the corresponding dies. I coloured them in using Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Combo markers, Calypso Coral Combo, and Lost Lagoon Blends Combo markers, to give them a bit of a muted look. These were mounted using Stampin' Seal and dimensionals.
  • Finally I stamped the sentiment from Comforting Thoughts in Pebbled Path ink on Very Vanilla and die cut it with a Perennial Postage die. That was secured on the card front with a combination of Seal and dimensionals.
  • Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots embellish the card front.

  • I stamped the envelope with more images from Magnolia Mood and used a couple more sentiments from Comforting Thoughts on the inside.
