Irresistibly Yours for the Easter Eggs

Well, I mentioned yesterday that I didn't order many Easter stamps this year, so I was at a bit of a loss when it came time to make Easter cards for my 5 grandkids! After tossing around a few ideas in my mind, it hit! Eureka! I could colour Irresistibly Your Specialty Designer Series Paper and use it to punch out or die cut Easter Eggs! This paper is perfect for the job. It's a little heavier than regular DSP and you can colour it any colour you like and the embossed designs will resist the ink and stay white! It reminds me of dying Easter Eggs, which I did every year with my own kids. Here are some more results:

I love how colorful they are and I love that little punch art Easter Bunny as well. I put the Fringe Scissors to work as well and I haven't used those in a long time.

Would you like to know how to make these cards? Would you like to find out 5 different ways to colour the Irresistibly Yours DSP? All you have to do is subscribe to my monthly newsletter! I'm emailing it a bit early, by March 27th, to give you a chance to make these cards yourself in time for Easter. In the newsletter, you will be able to download a Photo Tutorial, with step-by-step instructions for making these cards, along with a list of supplies and measurements!  Just use the link below to sign up, with the understanding that you may unsubscribe at any time.

Good Morning!

Hello!  It's the start of a shiny new week!  As it is the week before Easter, I wanted to post at least one or two Easter cards and I have to get some packages off in the mail to my daughters and their families.  If you have read my daughter Kristen's blog recently, you would know that my two youngest daughters have been visiting each other this past week and having a blast!  Here's a couple of fun photos:

s

I made some Easter cards for the adults, but I had the most fun making some cute Easter bunny cards for the two grandsons:

I love pastel colours and the spring-like feeling they give.  Here I used Pool Party, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink.  I was following the sketch for The Paper Players Challenge #138.

There are many examples of punch art bunnies when you google it, so I had my pick to choose from and I had to improvise when I was missing a punch or two, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

 Here's the punches I used:
Owl Builder Punch for cheeks and eyes, paws (118074)        Large oval Punch for ears and feet (119855)

Blossom Petals Builder Punch for inside ears and paws
          (121808)                                                                                         1 3/8" Circle Punch for head
                                                                                                                          (119860)

1 3/4" Circle Punch for Body (119850)
