First Sight for Colour Throwdown and Mojo Monday

I have another Easter card to share using the stamp set First Sight! I am entering two challenges with this one:

Mojo Monday Challenge #440 this week:

And, the Colour Throwdown Colour Swatch:

Teal, aqua and gold are such a great combination! I will have to use that more often!

Here's my card:

  • I don't have a lot of Easter stamps, mainly because it's not the kind of holiday that people give a lot of cards for. I needed an image and came across the butterfly from Butterfly Basics stamp set, and thought I could totally use it to symbolize the new life we have in Christ. Embossed in gold, it works well for this simple design.
  • The background panels are hand stamped using the flourish from the First Sight stamp set. After inking it up in Pool Party ink, I stamped the image in the middle and then used the side areas of the stamp to fill the empty spots. They're backed with Gold Foil sheets and added to the card front. The DSP is from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stacks in Pool Party. Some Gold Satin Ribbon adds a touch of sophistication to the project.
  • The sentiment is from the Easter Lamb stamp set. I just inked up the bottom of the stamp where the sentiment was in Island Indigo.
Thanks for stopping by!
