I love rustic, sporty greeting cards, so one would think that I also love rustic, sporty holidays, but nothing could be further from the truth. There were times in my life when I loved rustic, sporting Alpine adventures, but that was many moons ago, and the closest I get to that nowadays is wearing a plaid shirt and collecting pine cones from my Ponderosa Pine in my front yard. Nevertheless, I was immediately attracted to the Alpine Adventures Bundle* with it's sleigh and skis and snowshoes, and also to the Buffalo Check Background Stamp*. So this is my first creation using these products.

Take a closer look at the gorgeous rusticity (I'm sure that's a word...):
- The DSP you see in the background on the Early Espresso card base is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper*, one of many great sets in the new Holiday Catalogue that will be available for you to purchase from in just 2 more days!!
- The sleigh, snowshoes and skis were all just die cut with the Alpine Sports Thinlit Dies*, without doing any stamping with the coordinating Alpine Adventure stamp set*, except for the binding clamps on the skis, which were embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. The skis, by the way were die cut from the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper Stack.
- The snowflake is from the Thinlits and the wreath I stamped first with the stamp set (2 step) and then die cut with the thinlits.
- The sentiment is part of the Alpine Adventure stamp set* and the die that cut it out is part of the Alpine Sports Thinlits*, so you can see how coordinated these two sets are and how you really need the bundle.

- The Buffalo Check background stamp* is so on trend right now. I was super glad to get it, because I have a daughter whose family wears little else in the winter, in terms of shirts, scarves and accessories! I created the background by stamping the check in black ink on Real Red cardstock.
- Underneath I have another scrap of the Crumb Cake run through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder*.
