Last Chance to Order and May's Paper Pumpkin

Today is June 3 and you know what that means, right? It means that today is the last day that you can order from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue!

I know that you have been smart and ordered what you want well ahead of time, but just in case there was that one last thing that you wanted and didn't get around to ordering....well, today would be your last chance. Please, please, please don't get back to me tomorrow saying, "I didn't know the deadline was June 3. Isn't there any way I can still order it?" Because there isn't!  Last warning!!
Don't let this be you tomorrow, because you forgot to order something!

I finally got around to making my May Paper Pumpkin yesterday and what a gorgeous kit this one is! They just keep getting better and better! This one was special. It was called Hugs from Shelli and was designed in consultation with our Stampin' Up! Founder, Shelli Gardner! It was the first Paper Pumpkin kit to be available in all markets around the world, not just North America. I loved the designs so much I started by making them all basically as they were designed, except I turned them all into something that would work as a Thank You card for my customers! Here's a close look at them:

  • The four designs are quite vintage/rustic looking and rely heavily on floral and bird themes. In fact, this set was made to coordinate with the new Bird Ballad Suite in the new Annual Catalogue, and I will show you later how I made use of that suite to use up the leftovers in the kit.
  • You get 12 notecard sized cards with this kit along with coordinating designer style envelopes! My customers are going to love them.
Look at the details, two by two:

  • A lovely floral card and a rustic bird themed card. Both have splatters added with a splatter stamp that's part of the set. Look at the great fonts on the sentiments!
  • I love the little metallic bird on the sentiment label on the floral card.
  • That fuzzy twine in Petal Pink is awesome, too!
Here are the other two:

  • Notice that gorgeous velvet ribbon in the new In Colour, Pretty Peacock! It's sumptuous. I like the bird stamps that come with the kit. You can see them in the upper right corner of the second card here.
  • And the vellum feathers really make a statement!
  • The paper quality in these cards is getting better all the time. I loved the feel of it in this kit!
There were some bits left over when I finished and I decided to use them up by creating my own designs, but keeping the spirit of the 4 original projects. I used the stamp set that came with the kit as well as the *Free as a Bird set from the new Annual Catalogue, going live tomorrow!! I also used paper from *Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and *Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper, both of which you will be able to purchase starting tomorrow.

*These products will be available in the 2019 - 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, starting June 4, 2019.
**These products will be retiring and no longer available in the 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue starting June 4, 2019.

  • I used Crumb Cake card stock for the card base and stamped it first with the **Sheet Music background stamp in Crumb Cake ink and stamped off once. I then added the floral design from **Very Vintage stamp set in Crumb C *Stitched Nested Labels dies ake as well. Finally, I added the birds stamp from *Free as a Bird in Early Espresso.
  • I die cut my own label with the *Stitched Nested Labels dies that bundle with the *Free as a Bird stamp set in the new catalogue. The little pink blossoms are leftovers from the kit.
  • Paper from *Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper  make this design look great and again I die cut my own label from Very Vanilla cardstock and used Silver Foil Sheets to make the sentiment label. The velvet ribbon and the flowers are leftovers from the kit.
  • The paper for this one card is from *Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and the kit leftovers are the velvet ribbon, the feather and the stamps of the birds, the splatter, and the sentiment, as well as the feather.
