One of the first product suites that grabbed my full attention when I first looked through the new 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue was the Noble Peacock Suite! Oh, my goodness! It was so rich looking and full of gorgeous images and colours! And foil!! I was disappointed when we couldn't pre-order it, so I knew it would be the first thing on my order when we finally could. And I wanted to share with you today what stunning cards you can make with these stamps, dies and designer papers!
This card has a two step stamping peacock that is best achieved using the Stamparatus!
- The first image from the Royal Peacock stamp set was stamped using the new In Colour, Pretty Peacock ink, and using the Stamparatus.
- The second, gold-embossed image is achieved by first using the embossing buddy on the already stamped image, daubed rather than rubbed, since the Pretty Peacock ink is so intense. Then the stamp is placed face down and aligned properly on the image, which is easy to do with a photopolymer stamp. The second Stamparatus plate picks it up, then you can ink it up with Versamark ink. Bringing the second plate back over the image again, you press firmly to get the image stamped in Versamark.
- Add the Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder to the image and tap off the excess, then heat set it with the Heat Tool on the highest setting.
- The peacock feather is die cut from Gold Foil Sheets and the peacock itself is die cut, both using dies from the Detailed Peacock dies set, that can be bundled with the Royal Peacock stamp set set to save 10%.
- I love that the sentiment goes so well with a peacock, and it fits so well inside one of the Stitched Shapes circle dies. It looks great backed with a gold circle die cut from one of the Layering Circles dies.
- The background designer paper is from the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is a foil based series in three one-sided designs, all richly coloured! The suite also includes Noble Peacock rhinestones in the same vibrant colours.
