Last Wednesday, I showed you how to put together December's Paper Pumpkin the way the kit recommends, and I promised you that I would show you some alternative ideas for it, since I was not really thrilled with the critters that came with the kit, except for the cute koalas. So today I'm showing you the alternatives that I came up with.
Now since I needed thank you cards, I used the Massive Thanks stamp set for the sentiments, but you could continue to use the kit stamp set for the sentiments or choose your own from whatever sets you have that would fit the labels.
I also used items from the Forever Greenery Suite in the Annual Catalogue to create some designs, including the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper and the Forever Fern Bundle. I also used a leftover piece of *Love You Always Foil sheets from the upcoming 2021 Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue. The rest is all from the kit.
*These products are from the upcoming 2021 Jan/June Mini Catalogue and will be available to order until Jan. 5, 2021.
- This is the version of the cards that use the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper. I used the card bases and the die cut backgrounds as is, but I added a laser cut label to each one as a backing to the sentiment label from the kit.
- I also added some *Pastel Pearls from the upcoming 2021 Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue.
- The sentiments are stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.
- These versions required the most work and are my favourites, I think. I stamped three types of foliage, from the Forever Fern stamp set in Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake, then die cut them plus one more shape from the *Love You Always Foil Sheet, with the Forever Flourishing dies.
- I added the die cut foliage, plus another shape from the Forever Gold Laser Cut sheets to the card base or the background die cut shape and added the sentiment.
- This last set, I used those adorable koalas to hold the round sentiment labels, with the sentiments stamped in Calypso Coral, and mounted them with dimensionals on the card base or the background die cut, adding another piece from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper behind them.
- It's worth noting that the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper can be used on the antique gold side or the white side.
