Simply Elegant Anniversary for May's Online Technique Class

 

I've finally decided which new suite from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue is my favourite, and it hasn't been an easy decision. I love different aspects of different suites and there are the odd things about many of the suites that I'm not as crazy about, but there is one that I can say that I love everything about it, so it has to take the crown as my favourite! And crown is a good way to celebrate this suite, because it is the Simply Elegant Suite on pages 68 & 69 of the catalogue. And the designs are full of metallic flourishes, just like a crown would have!

We have a plethora of anniversaries in our family in the next few weeks, as I'm sure many families have, because many weddings take place in the May - September Window. So you might have anniversaries or weddings coming up for which you might need to make cards. I have a class coming up in May to address the common occasions that take place in late spring/early summer. I call it a Black Tie Event! More about that later.

Here's a closer look at the wedding/anniversary card from that class using the Simply Elegant Suite:

• On the black card base, I used a full layer and a couple of strips of the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can see the richness of the designs and the metallic foil accents.
• On a piece of Basic White cardstock, die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die, a flourish stamp image and a sentiment from the Elegantly Said stamp set are embossed in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.
• Some Gold Simply Elegant Trim and some Black Rhinestone and Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added.

So many special events come up in May and June and this class will help you be ready for them: It's a black tie event as you can see and we have a Fancy Fold Grad card, a tuxedo Father's Day card and Wedding/Anniversary card featuring the new Simply Elegant Suite from the new Annual Catalogue. 

Registration is needed by Friday, May 7 if you are from out of town and the cost is $20 or a minimum $30 order from my online store. I would suggest the Elegantly Said stamp set to enable you to complete the wedding/anniversary card, unless you can find another set to take it's place.

Note: I will send you class packages containing cardstock and DSP, cut, punched and die cut, along with embellishments, but I'm not allowed to send you prestamped images, due to copyright issues. You will need a basic list of supplies or alternatives to complete your projects that you can find below.

Note: The class is on Tues. May 18th at 6 pm, not Saturday. My Catalogue Launch will be on the Saturday. You can watch the YouTube Replay if you can't make the class at the scheduled time.
