Wishing You Well for The Paper Players

Still trying out new stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue! I like the clean and simple look using  this sketch from the latest challenge from The Paper Players. I think it was the Designer Series Paper that I chose that worked together with the Wishing You Well stamp set to give such a crisp look. Here's the sketch I worked from:

The Wishing You Well stamp set is one of the DistINKtive type of rubber stamps that give different opacities of ink with just one stamping. I think it's one of the most beautiful and certainly one of the easiest to get a good image with.

  • I used the Classic Label Punch to crop the sentiment and made it shorter by sticking in each end of the already punched sentiment into the end of the punch from the top and punching it shorter. Then, when I punched out the label in Copper Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper, it was larger and showed up behind the sentiment.
  • It needed a little something for interest and balance, so I added the Leaves Trinkets. I didn't have any Copper coloured ones, but I don't know if I would have used them even if I did have them. The silver make a good contrast and work with the Gray Granite.

  1. Lovely! That touch of copper glimmer really elevates your design. I'm so wishing I'd got that set - it's hard to go past that fabulous bow. The soft colours work really well. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players again, Heather.

  2. I love these colors together and agree with Jan - the glimmer really does add an extra layer of elegance and I love the two little leaves next to the sentiment, too. So glad you joined us this week at the Paper Players
