Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin Add On Kit

For this month's Paper Pumpkin kit, we made gift bags with a fall scene, but we had gobs of embellishments left over on purpose. For the first time, there was an Add On kit we could order through Stampin' Up! that consisted of 24 cards and envelopes that coordinated with the set. And having recently run out of Customer Thank You cards, I decided to turn them all into Thank You note cards. The palette feels like fall, with the prominent colours being Pretty Pumpkin, Crushed Curry and Merry Merlot!

First, here is a video showing how the original kit is put together and then I'll show you what I did with the remaining pieces to make the Thank You note cards. This video is found on the Paper Pumpkin website.

  • These are some of the designs I created with the two card bases that you saw in the video. All of the twine bows that you see, I think, were made with 4 pieces of twine layered as one, giving it a more substantial presence.
  • All the sentiments were stamped on the tags provided in the kit, but sometimes I turned over the Crumb Cake side to use the white side.
  • The three inks I used were Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry and Merry Merlot.
  • There were more than enough embellishments to go around.
  • You can see the Starburst Punch image on the lower right from some Merry Merlot cardstock that I used as a contrast for the Crumb Cake sentiment. The Thanks sentiment comes from the  stamp set "Here's a Card" stamp set.
  • I used the Thank You dies to create some Thank You sentiments from cardstock to add to the backgrounds and some circle punches and the Starburst Punch again for some more ideas.
I  had a lot of fun creating all these different designs. Feel free to try any of them.
