It's All in the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper

From the moment I first cast my eyes on the new Holiday Catalogue, I only ever had one favourite suite and so it remains today, even as I've experienced many of them. It's the *Feels Like Frost Suite with it's *Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Specialty Designer Series Paper and the *Frosted Frames Dies. The *Frosted Foliage stamp set is nice, with a couple of good sentiments but it's the dies and the papers that make this suite spectacular!!

*New Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, not available for sale until Sept. 4, 2019.

The paper has one side with gorgeous, photorealistic  shots of frosted foliage with sunset and evening skies behind them and the other side has metallic silver designs. Between the two, you can make some amazing card designs.

  • The *Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP you see here is both sides of the page of this pattern. I simply cut the 6 x 6 sheet in half trimmed the length to 5 1/4", then overlapped the two pieces to get them to a width of 4".  A word of wisdom: I used liquid glue on the back of the silver foil side and you could really see the ridges, even of the very small beads of glue I used, so it's better to use double sided tape runners such as Snail on this paper. It doesn't show as much on the photo side, however.
  • I embossed the sentiment, which comes from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set from the Annual Catalogue in Silver on vellum, die cut it using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and glued that panel down to the card front. I used Vellum Glue Tape by Plus which isn't carried by Stampin' Up!, but you can also use some Snail under the embossed letters where it doesn't show as much.
  • The bow is a double piece of White Baker's Twine combined with a double piece of Silver Metallic thread, then a small bow tied in it. This is added to the vellum sentiment panel using a glue dot and a Frosted Epoxy Droplet is added. A couple of Clear Epoxy Droplets from the same package were added to the photo paper.
