Have A Hoot for New At SU Blog Hop

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing the 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue and festive projects of any kind. I am using the Have a Hoot Bundle to create a card and some 3D candy or treat bags that go together and I think you'll have fun with the two Halloween projects.

  • The fun thing about the Peek-a-Hoot Dies that bundle with the Have a Hoot stamp set is the joined set of 3 tags die that you can either use to make 3 tags quickly, or you can create a peek-a-boo card like mine.
  • I used the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper for both the card and the treat bags. As part of the Magic in This Night Suite is the 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon that you see closing the treat bags. This stuff is so much fun to use and looks like shiny spider's silk.
Let's take a closer look at the card first:

  • The images from Have a Hoot stamp set were stamped on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured in using Stampin' Blend Combos.
  • The Peek-a-Hoot dies have a cute little spider web die cut which I die cut in Blackberry Bliss and adhered onto the Magic in This Night DSP which is popped up on black dimensionals.
  • The sentiment is also from Have a Hoot and is die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

  • The directions for making these little treat bags are really quick and easy. If you would like to know how, just comment below and I will create a quick PDF for you.
  • The labels are stamped with a sentiment from So Sentimental and die cut with a label die from Stitched So Sweetly. They are backed with another Stitched So Sweetly label, die cut from the Magic in This Night DSP. I added a little "BOO!" from Have a Hoot to designate it for Halloween!
I hope you enjoyed my project with the Have a Hoot Bundle. Now please hop on over to Pat Ertman's blog to see what's new with SU in her world:
