Simply Succulents Sponged Background

 Back when I did my first pre-order, very few of the dies were available, but this was one bundle that was, so I decided to get it, but not only because of that, but because I was won over to succulents three or four years ago when we had a big Succulent Suite in the Occasions catalogue. I fell in love with the colours and the combinations back then and I was excited to see another chance to play with them with this Simply Succulents Bundle, which includes the Simply Succulents stamp set and the Potted Succulents Dies.

I made two cards, one for today and one to share on Wednesday. Today's card features a sponged background using the Blending Brushes and then the full die cut from the Potted Succulents Dies.

• The colours I blended in the background are Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana, which I thought would work as succulent colours for this card. I love how they mimic the sunset.
• The full card front die from the Potted Succulents Dies is quite intricate but cut quite well with two passes of my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
• The sentiment and label are also from this bundle and I cut a shadow label to set off the sentiment label.
